In 1996 Brady-Anne began her career at Birchwood Interiors as their first full time Interior Designer. She worked alongside the owners, learning the ins and outs of the specialty of Interior Design in the Sugarloaf region. In 2002 Brady relocated to southern Maine to continue her education and to focus on expanding her areas of expertise in the field of Interior Design.
Brady-Anne attended Maine College of Art, where she studied fine art with a design focus, as well as Mount Washington College for Interior Design, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Maine College of Art provided her with a solid artistic base for her designs with exceptional knowledge and understanding of color, form, and balance. Mount Washington enhanced that with the addition of a strong business background and the critical knowledge needed in the field for appropriate use of materials and project management.
From 2002-2012 she managed Old Port Specialty tile in Portland, there gaining a tremendous knowledge base for the intricacies of tile and stone design. And from 2012-2019 she worked for Knickerbocker Group, one of the state’s premiere Design/Build firms, as their Interior Design Manager, developing the largest residential Interior Design department in the state of Maine. Over the course of 7 years she lead the department from a team of 2 designers to a staff of 15 strong.
Now, with over 27 years experience in the field, Brady has focused not only on growing her own knowledge in the industry, but also in assisting in the growth and expansion of the Interior Design trade as a whole throughout the State of Maine. She has worked for clients both large and small, from private vacation homes throughout New England, boutique B&B’s and specialty lodging, 5-star restaurants, as well as entire condominium projects and large-scale hotel work.
In 2020 Brady-Anne decided the time had finally come to found her own company and through that vision Nineteen Skies was born. Her passion for Maine and the belief that our environment has a profound affect on our well being resounds in her work and reflects in the designs she creates. She thrives on leading a team of talented professionals and the energy that comes with projects both large and small. In her free time she is an avid skier and is often found out in the woods climbing mountains.
Originally from southern coastal Maine, Jocelyn has recently returned to Maine after 20 years of exposure in the industry and living on the west coast. With family in mind, she made the decision to return to Maine and embrace a fresh sense of adventure as well as an opportunity to expand her design career.
Her work in the design industry began at the School of Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University where she studied Art History and Theology. After graduating Jocelyn moved to Southern California where she worked alongside several prominent Interior Designers in both San Francisco and Los Angeles gaining a tremendous variety of experience and knowledge in the field.
In addition to her role at Nineteen Skies, Jocelyn is an accomplished visual artist with a passion for color and illustration. Her work can be found on paper with pen and watercolor with themes exploring story telling. Her passion lies working in a small studio environment where her study of design can flourish, and she can be fulfilled by her enthusiasm for the creative process.
Jocelyn thrives working on projects large and small. When you meet her and get to know her a little better, ask her to share her recent accomplishments and the successful completion of a published book written with her husband.
